Welcome!
I’m so glad you’re here.

I am Suzanne Ponsioen (she/her), a licensed Couples & Family Therapist and Death Doula. My practice is built on the belief that even in our deepest hardships—whether navigating chronic illness, trauma, anxiety and/or depression—we each hold an innate capacity for resiliency and wellness.
I specialize in helping adults and couples navigate the complex intersections of trauma, end-of-life concerns, anxiety, and sexuality. My work is deeply rooted in the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model, which allows us to compassionately explore the different "parts" of your experience, to find balance and a deep connection with your inner wisdom and calm.
In our work together, I offer specialized support for:
-
Trauma & Anxiety: Using IFS to gently process past and present wounds, allowing for integration and relief.
-
End-of-Life Advocacy: Providing practical and emotional support to ensure your final wishes and legacy are honored with dignity and autonomy.
-
Relationships & Intimacy: Navigating how illness, trauma, and anxiety shift the way you connect with others and yourself.
-
Grief Integration: Moving through anticipatory grief by honoring the unique rituals, cultural beliefs, and personal values that shape your world.
I am committed to maintaining an atmosphere of openness, trust, and safety. I actively welcome and celebrate people of all cultures, genders, sexual orientations, social classes, sizes, abilities, ages, and religions.
